Forensic Accountant

Forensic Accountant Graduate Certificate

The Forensic Accountant graduate certificate is a three-course program designed to provide additional credentials for individuals who desire to cross train into a new field or enhance their skill set within their current field.

This certificate provides exposure to issues related to accounting fraud and helps you understand the theory of accounting fraud. Application of tools and procedures to detect and correct accounting fraud is a major part of this certificate.

The certificate can be obtained by working professionals. Forensic accounting is a growing field. We offer forensic accounting and forensic data analytics.

This 9-hour certificate requires successful completion with a grade of B or better in each of the following courses:

  • ACC 353
  • ACC 452
  • ACC 453

University Admission Requirements

A student applying to the Forensic Accountant graduate certificate program must:

  • have earned a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a college or university that is accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association, or do so within one academic year
  • have had undergraduate training in business and/or have been employed at least one year in a business enterprise.

Additional Program Admission Requirements

The Forensic Accountant graduate certificate program is designed for students who:

  • have completed an undergraduate degree program
  • have undergraduate training in business and/or have been employed for at least one year in a business enterprise

Application Deadlines

  • Fall Semester Term — July 1
  • Spring Semester Term — December 1
  • Summer Semester Term — April 1
