Board of Directors

The Board of Directors assists the faculty advisor of the EIF program, and has primary responsibility for providing oversight of EIF investment activities and maximizing opportunities through which EIF students can increase their knowledge of the investment decision-making process.

The members of the EIF Board of Directors are investment and finance professionals. Many are alumni of the EIF program.

Role of the Board

Directors provide professional support of EIF activities and assist the EIF program in the following ways:

• Advising on the strategic direction and content of the EIF program
• Establishing and monitoring the investment policy and objectives of the portfolio
• Providing a link between classroom experiences and real-life investment management practices
• Promoting growth of the EIF program and the investment fund
• Providing individual mentorship and guidance to students

Board members track the portfolio performance, provide advice and guidance to students, and hear presentations by students regarding investment objectives and the EIF portfolio performance. Each student works with an EIF board member who serves as a professional mentor for the student throughout the semester.
