International Business Association

International Business AssciationThe purpose of the International Business Association (IBA) is to promote interest in and understanding of business in the context of globalization. The world is more interconnected and interdependent than ever and as such IBA strives to be a forum for global conversation. Meetings are open to any ISU student and are generally centered around a topic that is then explored and discussed. Outside of club meetings IBA regularly attends internationally focused events on campus, in Chicago, and in St. Louis. IBA is also a proud sponsor of international entrepreneurship by funding microloans through Kiva, all around the world. Sigma Iota Epsilon (Co-ed Management Honorary Fraternity)

Sigma Iota Epsilon

Sigma Iota Epsilon is a national Honorary Professional Management Fraternity whose purpose is to recognize those of high scholastic achievement, facilitate contacts with students, faculty, alumni, and businesses, and to foster interest and achievement.  Involvement in the Sigma Iota Epsilon Fraternity will give you an opportunity to gain LEADERSHIP experience, provide you with a chance to get involved in the COMMUNITY, and expand your KNOWLEDGE of business.

Events throughout the year that we look forward to hosting include an initiation ceremony, team building exercises, professional presentations, professional networking activities, volunteer activities, and social events.  Our goal is to establish socialization with our peers, collaboration with our campus and the local community, and to establish both internal and external business contacts to further add value to our academic careers at Illinois State University.

 Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma is the national scholastic honor society in the field of business recognized by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. A formal induction ceremony is held each spring to recognize the scholastic achievements of individual students. To be eligible for membership, students' academic rankings must place them in the upper 10 percent of the sophomore class, upper 10 percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class, or upper 20 percent of the graduate/master class. The ISU Chapter was named a chapter with the highest honors in 2019.

Business Week

Business Week offers engaging, authentic and professional opportunities that enable students to interact closely with alumni, employers and industry thought leaders as they develop essential soft skills and understandings required for success. Leadership, corporate social responsibility, business etiquette, effective networking, goal setting, communication and career management are among the topics addressed through the week long series of interactive events.

Through a week-long series of events, corporate and industry leaders interact with students, share specialized expertise and explore important issues and cutting-edge developments. Business Week allows speakers to address broader topics such as educational preparation, leadership, service, etiquette, networking, goal setting, and career advancement. Business Week is managed by a student led committee with guidance from professional staff in the College of Business.

Delta Sigma PiDelta Sigma Pi (Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity)

Delta Sigma Pi is a coed professional business fraternity that provides extensive professional, community service, fundraising, and social programs. Students have the opportunity to obtain a great reputation with the community, campus and professional industry, while making some of the greatest friends one will ever have. DSP believes in success and continued education. This is a highly involved and very interactive organization. All business and economic majors that have at least 3 semesters remaining and at least a 2.5 GPA are eligible for membership. Delta Sigma Pi was named the 2005-2006 ISU Student Organization of the Year.

Phi Beta LambdaPhi Beta Lambda is a co-ed career and technical organization affiliated with the Future Business Leaders of America, we are the college division. Phi Gamma Nu is a coed professional business fraternity that strives to promote its three pillars: professional, philanthropy, and social. The Delta Chi Chapter was founded on April of 2014 making it the newest business fraternity on campus. We aim for excellence and the need to enhance our professional development through resume critiques, mock interviews, and networking with surrounding companies and alumni. Phi Gamma Nu believes in the civic responsibility to organize and participate in community outreach, volunteering, and raising money for local charities. We also emphasize on the importance of brotherhood within our chapter by encouraging leadership and forming lifelong bonds with one another.

 Phi Gamma Nu prides ourselves as a diverse membership by accepting all majors. To join Phi Gamma Nu in the Fall or Spring, students must at least 3 semesters remaining and at least 2.65 GPA.

Pi Sigma Epsilon

PSE

Pi Sigma Epsilon is a Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity for students and industry professionals in Sales, Marketing, and Management. Although skills in those subjects are emphasized, PSE also focuses on professional development, brotherhood, community service, and more, which is why we are open to all majors. We have many opportunities outside of sales, marketing, and management, with leadership roles ranging from Finance to Human Resources. Since 1992, the Delta Omega chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon has been shaping its members into professionals that are ready to tackle the workforce once their time as a collegiate member comes to an end. Throughout the year, our members work on a variety of different projects to promote the growth and development of our chapter. Our members have opportunities to participate in professional skill-building workshops (public speaking, resume-critique, etc.) and competitions to help them achieve their goals during and after their collegiate careers. We also hold numerous brotherhood/social activities to form bonds among our members.

Women in Business is a registered student organization at Illinois State University that strives to be the leading group of women on campus. Together, we continuously grow to become successful professionals, as well as mindful and courageous women. Women in Business is an organization, network, and community of female students dedicated to their empowerment and education. Women in Business is committed to the growth and expansion of professional and personal opportunities for its members, with a focus on business, leadership, and female celebration, and innovation.

Within this supportive network of collegiate women, we proactively prepare for the current trends in the workplace as well as empower our members to seek involvement in the community and opportunities for growth. It is our goal to assist our members to develop the confidence they need in order to be successful individuals.”
