One of the biggest challenges for all leaders is navigating relationships with others. Understanding human behavior can help leaders more fully understand those they manage, work with, and report to. This session will explore the fundamentals of human behavior as they relate workplace relationships. In particular, the session will examine such issues as personality, values, attitudes, and perception. Participants should leave with insight regarding how they can more fully understand others and create stronger, more construction relationships with those they work with.

Women make up 47% of the workforce. Yet, they make up only 38% of first line-to-middle managers. And the numbers continue to fall: Only 33% of senior managers are female; 29% of VPs, and 21% of "C-Suite" managers. And, only 4-5% of CEOs are female.
Why?
Like all complex situations, this likely has very complex (and, perhaps, poorly understood) causes. However, this session will explore the factors that are--perhaps--at the root of this issue.

Motivation is perhaps the most studied of all workplace issues, and we continue to be interested in understanding what exactly motivates people to do what they do. This session will examine what we "think" we know about motivation and how that knowledge can help us in our leadership roles. Participants in this session will gain greater understanding of an extraordinarily complex human process.
