Research Support

In keeping with Means Center’s commitment to Faculty Research we are delighted to offer the following support to our affiliated faculty members:

Travel: We can reimburse one conference per year for affiliated faculty to up to $1500. The conditions are:

A paper needs to be accepted. No PDWs.
The paper is either presented in a national /international entrepreneurship conference or a management/strategy conference with an entrepreneurship theme. Conferences can include (but are not limited to) the Academy of Management Conference, the Babson College Entrepreneurship Conference, and the Strategic Management Conference.
Faculty seeking support would meet the Director of Means Center to get approved.
Reimbursement using Foundation/ Endowment has to follow the University rules.

Proofreading: We can reimburse the cost of proofreading a paper that will be submitted to a highly reputable journal. The metric for measuring quality is an Association of Business School (ABS) Journal guide of A or higher, and/or an Australian Business Dean’s Council (ABDC) of 3 or higher. We can reimburse such costs only once a year per faculty member.

Software: A license for STATA and Endnotes for our affiliated faculty will be available in Spring 2020.

Research Database: We also will be identifying and procuring some research databases that would help our faculty access data to aid their research. We are now in the process of identifying such databases.
