Dr. Steve Taylor is a Distinguished Professor of Marketing, in the College of Business at Illinois State University. He also serves as the College of Business faculty mentor for students from under-represented groups and first generation college students.
In addition, he is also available to mentor any student associated with the College of Business.
A mentor's role is to be available as a resource for students who have questions, or otherwise wish to discuss their experiences at Illinois State. Students from under-represented groups and first generation students often face unique challenges associated with completing their college education.Dr. Taylor, the College of Business, and Illinois State University’s commitment is to do whatever can be done to ensure that every student who comes to Illinois State graduates with their degree.

Diversity at Illinois State University
Lucy Sanchez and Katherine Trevino, both senior College of Business students at Illinois State, recently presented at the Illinois State University Research Symposium.
Their project involved a series of focus groups for Sherman's, a local retailer. The results of this project were used by graduate students in MKT430 to develop formal marketing plans for the retailer client.
