Advising for Non-Majors

For students whose degree program requires coursework in the College of Business (examples include Family and Consumer Sciences or Agri-Business), we encourage you to work with your assigned academic advisor in your department on the sequencing of your College of Business courses. 

Please make note of the following:

• Students are limited to non-major sections of courses.
• The College of Business offers a wide variety of courses during the Summer Session, and the courses are not major-blocked.  We encourage students to complete courses during this time.
• To ensure the completion of a degree, overrides will be provided in a student’s last semester or should prerequisites for other courses be a factor, students are encouraged to work with their departmental academic advisor to obtain seats.

For undeclared students who anticipate majoring in the College of Business, please note that you are limited to non-major sections of our courses and should work with your assigned University College advisor to determine major change timelines and requirements. College of Business advisors will see anticipated major students during walk-in hours.
