In Person Meet the Firms

This fall, the Illinois State University Department of Finance, Insurance, & Law and the Institute for Financial Planning & Analysis are proud to host an in person Meet the Firms Career/Internship Fair and Networking Event.  Students will have the opportunity to interact with Company representatives who are interested in recruiting students for internships and jobs in all areas of finance and financial planning.  No advance registration is needed for students as you will register in person at the event.

To prepare for the event:

• Have someone look over your resume. ISU Career Services is happy to help with your resume and provides free printing for you can bring copies to the fair. For more info check out this page.
• Consider preparing for the event and future interviews by doing mock interviews. Check out this page to use Interviewstream to practice your interview skills.
• Look at the employers planning to attend the event to plan which companies you want to talk to and research them. Look at employers’ profiles on Handshake to learn more about them and potentially find job postings (if they use Handshake for job postings)
