Student Leadership Advisory Board (SLAB)

Save

The Student Leadership Advisory Board (SLAB) is an organization comprised of the presidents of all registered student organizations (RSO) recognized by the College of Business. This council serves as the student advisory board to the dean of the College of Business. They attend monthly meetings with the dean and discuss issues within the College of Business that concern both current and prospective students.

Meetings are held once a month during the fall and spring semesters from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the Executive Classroom, SFHB 430. However, during the 2021-2022 academic year they will be held virtually. The early meeting time mirrors the practice of early morning meetings in the business world and eliminates the problem of conflicting class schedules. Breakfast is served at each in-person meeting. Student Leadership Advisory Board (SLAB) allows the Dean's Office to have access to the executive leadership of each RSO and for each RSO president to have access to the Dean. During each meeting a discussion topic is addressed and feedback provided to the Dean.

Below are the biographies of the current officers for the 2021-2022 academic year. Please reach out to them if you have any questions about Student Leadership Advisory Board (SLAB) or the College of Business. Additionally, please find the College of Business RSO Marketing-Signage Form Below. If you wish to send a soft copy instead of dropping a copy off at the SFHB Dean's Office 401, please email the Dean's Office at COBINFO@ilstu.edu, subject "SFHB RSO Marketing Request Form (organization name)".
