This is a person who is well-recognized by industry. This person has (or had) a senior leadership role in an insurance organization and would have a record of important accomplishments and contributions to the industry and society. Each year one Laureate would be chosen to represent the inductees in the Hall of Fame.

The selection of this person in this category will ideally help support all the strategic goals but especially the goal of attracting investment into programs that help attract students into the industry.

Lori Goltermann - HOF Laureate

Lori Goltermann serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Aon's U.S. Commercial Risk Solutions and Health Solutions. As CEO, she oversees the corporate direction and strategy for 7,000 colleagues, across 40 offices. Goltermann also served as a key business leader of the firm's Client Promise, Aon's framework for delivering client value.

Since joining Aon in 1993, Goltermann has spent nearly three decades growing, challenging and shaping the U.S. business to position Aon as a leading professional services firm. Goltermann is known for assembling high performing teams, strategy development, and M&A. She has an exceptional vision for growing the organization and helping clients with all of their risk, retirement and health needs.

Prior to serving as CEO for Aon's U.S. business, Goltermann led the U.S. Health and Benefits practice. In this role, she led the team that advised employers across all market segments on creating customized benefits strategies and the design of private health exchange solutions including leading the acquisitions of Aon's specialty lines for health. Prior to her role in Health and Benefits, she led the Account Executive national platform and launched Aon's Client Promise which continues to serve as the global platform for Aon's service commitments to clients. She also led the M&A due diligence team for Aon and spent ten years leading a team focused on delivering innovation and deal value to the largest private equity platform in the industry. Goltermann is committed to innovation and held the responsibility for designing and launching a data and analytics casualty offering, intended to help organizations in developing casualty program insights to identify cost-saving opportunities with the use of internal industry benchmark data – patented under Laser Analytics which later advanced to Spectrum Analytics.

Today, Goltermann is an active member of Aon's Global Operating Executive committee, is responsible for Aon's Diversity & Inclusion Chair for the U.S. and leads Delivering Aon United, Aon's firm-wide growth strategy focused on bringing the best of the firm to its clients.

Goltermann has played an active role on several boards and organizations to drive impact to the communities in which she lives and works, including the Lincoln Park Zoo, The Special Olympics, Aon's Apprenticeship Program focused on employment of diverse candidates, and is a member of The Latin School of Chicago's Enterprise Risk Management board. In 2019, Goltermann joined The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB) board, as well as The Chicago Network, where Aon is a founding member of the Equity Pledge. In 2016, she was named as a Business Insurance's Woman to Watch. More recently, in 2018, she was named one of Insurance Business America's Hot 100 influencers in the insurance industry and was named one of 2019's Elite Women in the Insurance Business America Magazine.

Goltermann earned a bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and continued her education through Aon's executive programs at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
